Artist Statement:
My latest body of work has evolved from a year of research using various aggregates in the clay body and ash glazes. This research has resulted in a unique surface. With sensual asymmetrical forms I have played with rhythm and balance. Over time the full vases evolved into double walled bowls. Using both light and dark iron clays I create a varied palette. Gas or wood firing have an effect on the final surface results.
